JENNY UMBERS - TRUNDLE CITIZEN OF THE YEAR

For more than 18 years Jenny has been an ac­tive member of the Trundle community.

She has held secretary positions on the Trundle P&C Committee, Trundle Community Consulta­tive Committee, Sports Council, Swimming Club and Men’s Cricket.

She has held other executive positions at the Trundle pre-school and P&C.

Jenny has been a willing contributor to debu­tante balls, meals on wheels, Presbyterian Church, lunchroom at the show, working bees at the school, showground, pre-school and Berryman Oval and Bush Tucker Day.

She has also been chief flower steward for the Trundle P&A Show for the last few years and was the chair of the MPS Steering Com­mittee, often attending meetings with her two pre­-school sons.

When Jenny began working at the Central School she took over as facilitator of the Student Representative Council and introduced the stu­dents’ commitment to run children's activities at Bush Tucker Day and was also instrumental in the biennial 'Big Gig* concert across the district.

Jenny is a passionate, committed member of the Trundle community whose willingness to con­tribute across the community makes her a deserv­ing nominee for Citizen of the Year.

Newsflash

Four members of the Trundle Community have taken the first steps to become First Line Responders for the Trundle Volunteer Ambulance.

The first course was conducted at Parkes over the weekend 18-19 June 2011. Jenny Callow, Debbie Veal, Miles Hollaway were joined by volunteers from Tottenham and Eugowra.

The community thanks them for undertaking the training to ensure our Volunteer Ambulance Service remains viable into the future
